Job Description:
The Analytics Automation Scientist will work closely with members of Trait & Field Solutions (TFS) Global Analytics, Technology Pipeline Solutions (TPS), and TFS Product Assessment scientists for development of statistical analysis modules in R with computationally efficient algorithms. This will involve mathematical and statistical algorithms for fitting complex models with real-world impact applied to field experiments.
Required qualification/experience/skills:
(a) A graduate degree in Computational Mathematics, Computational Statistics, Computational Biology or a related field. A graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics or Computer Science with background and experience in computational methods applied to statistical models will also be considered.
(b) Proficiency in R programming with experience in development and usage of R packages with computational efficiency
(c) Background knowledge and experience in numerical methods for dealing with large and high dimensional unbalanced data and sparse matrices
(d) Basic knowledge of Design of Experiments, Analysis of Variance, Mixed Model, Regression, and other statistical tools and the implementation of these techniques in R
Desired experience/skills:
(a) Experience with analysis of data from agricultural experiments
