02 per hour, based on experienceJob DescriptionThis position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law.
o Act as a resource in the organization of patient and program activities.
o Act as an expert resource in emergency situations.
o Assume responsibility for the short-term coordination and management of care for specific patients during emergencies, specialty procedures, and post-operative recovery.
o Coordinate short-term plans of care for patients with non-routine and/or highly specialized care needs.
o Demonstrate applied critical care knowledge base to a variety of specialty settings.
o Demonstrate competency in critical care skills and specialty procedures.
o Demonstrate guest relations skills consistently.
o Identify issues impacting patient care and patient care programs and offer suggestions for resolution.
o Identify trends or variances in the effectiveness of care for non-routine/highly complex patients.
o Incorporate environmental and safety practices into daily care.
o Maintain scheduling flexibility to meet program needs.
o Participate actively in house-wide educational activities.
o Participate in activities to improve patient care with a house-wide perspective.

o Provide expert nursing assessment for non-routine/highly complex patients in critical care units and specialty procedure settings.

Supervision Receivedo Supervision is received from the House ManagerSupervision Exercisedo Functional supervision may be exercised over nursing and support staff.
Required Qualificationso Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
o Two (2) years of RN experience in a critical care or emergency hospital setting.
Preferred Qualificationso ICU or PACU experienceo Additional licensure/certifications requirements as determined by the hiring department.

This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.
This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Rotating shifts, holidays, and work during inclement weather will be required.
