Position Overview Reinsurance in itself is unique.

As Actuary in our Inforce & Risk Management area, you will contribute to the completion of key projects in Global Financial Solutions, and often serving as a Project Lead.
As part of a collaborative team environment, you will perform risk management analyses by reviewing and/or developing appropriate financial results and projections of potential or existing reinsurance transactions.
Responsibilities Responsible for inforce and risk management of North America asset intensive transactions, monitor experience and ensure risks taken are appropriate for benefits receivedManage crediting rate and other non-guaranteed elements and advise clients when appropriateResponsible for various regular internal and external projects and deliverables, with the ability to review work with little to no oversightDevelops and/or reviews financial results and projections for potential or existing reinsurance transactions.
Leads/assists with the assessment of financial results and projections for communication to division and/or company management.
Works to ensure that the risks for all assigned deals have been modeled in a reasonable, accurate, and repeatable manner.
Monitors in force transactions to maximize value and ensure risks taken are appropriate for the benefits received.
Provides assistance, as appropriate and directed, with the training of new personnel.
Fosters positive relationships with key stakeholders (ex.
s:
marketing partners, clients, corporate departments).
Requirements Education and ExperienceRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or related fieldFSA designationMinimum of 7 years of actuarial experience in life insuranceSkills and AbilitiesRequired:
Advanced PC and technical skills, including spreadsheets and actuarial software.
Highly advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well receivedHighly advanced investigative, analytical and problem solving skillsExpert ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectivesAdvanced skills in customer relationship management and change managementHighly advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutionsHighly advanced ability to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneouslyHighly advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplinesHighly advanced persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customersAdvanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with different disciplines, including pricing, investments, finance, valuation, tax, systems, and administration.

The general pay range for this position is $129,200 to $197,515 per year.
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
