The Associate Actuary, Inforce Management supports the strategic pillar of creating value through our RGA's US Individual Life (USIL) inforce block.
Expands our capability to analyze performance of the business and provide meaningful insights to relevant stakeholders.
Works cross-functionally with Finance, Valuation, Operations, Risk Management, Underwriting, and others to improve profitability of the inforce block through support of various initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesUtilizes new technology and data sources (including third party data) to gather deep insights into the profitability of our business, and then disseminates that information concisely and effectively to other appropriate USIL stakeholdersSupports projects to improve the accuracy of our projections in collaboration with Valuation and Operations.
Performs analysis of claims volatility and potential anti-selection to support business and risk management functions in determining ideal use of retrocession for USMMReviews projections of post-level term business and identifies opportunities to improve returns, in collaboration with business development and pricing actuariesPerforms analysis of recapture opportunities as neededHelps client teams (Operations, Business Development, Pricing Actuaries) make informed business decisions with regard to inforce issues by providing robust analysis of historical and future profitability at appropriate levels of detailProvides support for regular management reporting and LDTI earnings analysis as neededFoster and energize positive collaboration with key stakeholders, such as pricing, business development, underwriting, new business initiatives, US/LA Risk Management, external clients, etc.
Presents work products through various outlets including internal meetings, industry meetings, and internal or external publications.
Support development of junior staff and drive team engagementParticipates in special projects, committees, meetings and client presentations as required.
RequirementsEducation and ExperienceRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or related fieldFSA accreditation6
years of actuarial experience in life insurance and/or reinsurancePreferred:

The general pay range for this position is $109,130 to $166,855 per year.
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
