Description

Observes all safety rules and regulations '' Identifies and addresses product and processing problems in a timely manner and escalates issues to Manager if resolution requires it.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment throughout the plant, according to GMP and Safety Guidelines
Prepares areas to be cleaned by setting up safety equipment and organizing supplies
Disassembles, cleans, and sanitizes all production equipment in a timely manner
Cleans floors and walls. Cleans common use facilities of the production and warehouse areas to maintain cleanliness
Must be able to safely operate and understands proper machine operating and adjusting procedures
Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed
Works to understand overall impact of his/her job on team productivity and plant profitability, maintains high level of personal productivity and contributes suggestions for work process improvements.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED
Must have basic math skills
Must be able to safely lift up to 50-80lbs
Must be able to read and follow instructions
Must be willing to work in a refrigerated environment
Must be willing to work in a butcher shop environment with raw meat
Must be willing to join a union
Must be available to work overtime as needed
Must be available to work the following schedule:
Monday - Thursday.9pm - 5:30am
Friday.4:00pm - 12:30
Physical Requirements Must be able tow work in a hot/cold or wet environment. Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling and moving about the facility. Works with potentially hazardous chemicals and equipment. Works at a fast pace on a prolonged basis.
