Global Corn Breeding Data Specialist for Chesterfield, MO to maintain & update corn research germplasm development reference data for global corn breeding programs; conduct data mining; perform data audits and generate & analyze reports; monitor global corn breeding referenced data for completeness & quality; support global corn data mgmt team in inbred & hybrid coding functions; work with global data mgmt & technology pipeline solutions teams to develop & support breeding program information tools, performance, geopolitical reference & weather data; provide metrics summaries & analyses and discuss findings with global leads. Requires Bachelor's in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or closely related field; 5 yrs progressive post-Bachelor's experience maintaining & supporting plant breeding reference data using TOAD; standardizing germplasm data; defining functional requirements for the Observation Viewer tool; analyzing & curating reference data using SQL to support integrated Oracle databases & ensure germplasm, performance, geopolitical, sales & weather data quality & integrity; and developing & maintaining operational practices, workflows & SOPs.
