The Immigration Specialist is primarily responsible for adhering to the immigration laws of the U.S. S/he will be a liaison between the employees, HR representatives, recruiters, governmental agencies and the attorneys to obtain new and extension work visas, as well as permanent residency for our employees. In addition, the Specialist will assist with helping employees obtain business visas and documentation to support international business travel. Finally, in supporting our U.S. employees, the Specialist is responsible for working with the employees and the I-9s representatives to ensure the I-9 form (employment authorization) and re-validations are properly and timely completed in compliance with US legal requirements.
If you do not have immigration experience, we have a great training program. However, to be considered you must meet the following requirements.
Requirements
- Must be able to work with a heavy caseload, under pressure, and in difficult situations while maintaining strong customer service skills
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must have experience in handling major projects
- Must be detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to interpret and apply laws
- Analytical and creative thinking
- Must work well in a team environment
Preferences
- Experience in a relevant governmental or legal organization supporting immigration and visa applications
- At least one year direct experience with visa and immigration related issues
- Experience working in an information systems software industry supporting visa holders
- A foreign language skill preferably Spanish
- International work or education experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
