Associate DevOps Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Chesterfield, MO.
This Enterprise Applications team (EA) is the DevOps team responsible for working in the heart of all large distributed applications and monitoring platforms. The EA team is fully engaged with Agile project teams to ensure operations and monitoring needs are baked into products starting from sprint zero. We're seeking a high energy, passionate junior engineer with strong Linux systems engineering skills who will work with the tools and development teams to contribute to the development of product solutions and proactively automate away issues.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for all aspects of developing, deploying, architecting and supporting enterprise applications like Chef, Mule, Activiti, ActiveMQ, etc.
- Collaborate closely with one or more scrum teams across the organization as an active member of these projects; both developing and ensuring operational concerns are baked into the user stories.
- Working as an active member of Agile project teams delivering high quality solutions and driving a Agile-Devops culture to ensure operation considerations are incorporated into design and build phases.
- Supporting and maintaining internal and external enterprise applications.
- Promoting and supporting automation, monitoring and development best practices within an Agile-Devops culture.
- Support the primary technical subject matter expert across enterprise application platforms.
- Supporting application up-time and assist with resolving application, performance, and system issues.
- Understand requirements in support of hosting and cloud product teams and help to identify gaps in requirements and design.
- Providing production support to enterprise applications and monitoring systems including deployment support and troubleshooting for other development teams.
- Assist in efforts to perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; creating preventative action plans.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- 1
years of experience coding and Scripting in multiple languages Ruby, Java/JEE, Perl, Python, Bash etc.
- 1
years software development architecture and infrastructure within an environment that utilizes automation, virtualization and or Cloud computing technologies
- System administration experience with ( NIX and WINDOWS platforms)
- Demonstrated ability to interface and interact with business teams in building solutions and providing technical support
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to interface and interact with business teams in building solutions and providing technical support
Bonus Points! Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience working with a version control system such as GIT or Subversion
- Experience with continuous integration
- Experience with Testing frameworks and or TDD
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with leveraging public clouds
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Experienced and comfortable in development and IT operational disciplines including automation, testing and developing solutions in an enterprise environment.
