Position Purpose:
Assist manager with project management and incident management to ensure deadlines are met and in an effective and efficient manner.
Provide thought leadership for the Teradata Database systems.
Position
Responsibilities:
Provide operational support through On-call rotation.
Mentor team and build best practices and standards for Teradata database systems
Assist manager with capacity modeling/management and technology roadmap
Resolve database performance issues, capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
Determine user requirements, set up and test computer databases, and coordinate changes.
Act as a mentor for other Database Administrators.
Qualifications:
Knowledge/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.

years of related experience.
Teradata: Unix/Linux: Microsoft Windows; Advanced SQL; Performance Tuning; Backup & Recovery; Advanced Shell scripting; Technical documentation; Teradata Viewpoint, TASM,UESM,UDM, Teradata advanced administration; Teradata architectural design; Research solutions to various business and technical problems
A background in application development is preferred.
