Senior Data Scientist for Chesterfield, MO to use advanced mathematical models, machine learning techniques & spatiotemporal modeling to support decision making in plant breeding; transform large amounts of data into actionable models & descriptive knowledge using advanced quantitative analysis, data mining techniques & machine learning algorithms; collaborate with interdisciplinary scientists to address analytical scientific breakthroughs in machine learning; utilize big data technologies to develop & deploy advanced analytics solutions for high throughput research strategies; develop solutions for analyzing complex spatiotemporal data; present results to peers, senior management & internal customers. Requires Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Bioinformatics or closely-related field; 2 yrs statistical modeling experience using R, MATLAB and/or Python. Position also requires
Experience: using support-vector machines, random forests, Bayesian analysis & spatiotemporal modeling; performing mathematical modeling, Monte Carlo simulations, optimization, stochastic modeling, estimation & prediction; developing feature extraction algorithms for multispectral images or time-series data; and solving analytical problems involving big data sets using quantitative approaches to generate insights from data. Must have at least three peer-reviewed, first author journal publications in modeling, optimization and/or estimation. Up to 10% U.S./Int'l travel req'd. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
